New Zealand actor/writer/director Daniel Gillies emerged onto the international scene playing 'John Jameson' in Spiderman 2. Since 2002 Daniel has worked in American and Canadian television/film. Other notable credits are 'The Sensation of Sight', 'Uncross the Stars' and Spielberg's mini-series 'Into the West'.
Daniel concluded starring in the Canadian medical supernatural drama, 'Saving Hope' as 'Joel Goran' in February, 2015. He finished starring in this role at the season three finale. He currently stars as 'Elijah Mikaelson' in the American supernatural drama series 'The Originals', which is currently airing its fourth season.
